The Monday Nooner put Allan at #10 last week and moved them to #8 this week in their senior hockey top 10.
The nooner bases these rankings on how teams are doing in their respective leagues, with less weight on overall strength of roster but regardless they still think highly of the Allan Flames.
What is everyone thinking? Is Allan the real deal or are they pretenders?

More size and more depth. They have 2 great lines and another 2 that contribute. Not sure about the overall ranking but definitely better than last year.

I agree, I’ve watched them a few times this year. When they have everyone in the lineup I would argue they have 3 dangerous lines, with a 4th line that is solid. Defence is definitely a lot bigger than last year. Are they the top team in the TRHL right now? Probabaly yes, but they haven’t been tested with any top teams from the west, that will be the real deciding factor. Are they a top 10 team in the province? Definitely not, TRHL import rules stops any team from being a true top 10 team. But I respect the nooner for ranking teams based on performance in their leagues and take into consideration import rules.

Allan is a much-improved team. So is Bruno. Good to see the East making some noise. Interesting that I count four on Allan that were on Hanley last year, including the league top points. One also in Bruno and Anderson went to SVHL. Last skater leaving Hanley shut off the lights.

I think Allan is legit, brossart is leading the charge in beating up on these teams, need to see some tougher competition against them but it looks like the flames had some gasoline dumped on them this year!

Not a wagon, but by far the most improved team since last year. Could see them sneaking in to the playoffs this year, although in a tough division.

Dalmeny over Clavet 4-3 to improve to 4-1. Teams starting to get up there in age but still seem to be one of the top teams in the league. Couple more warm up games before the real test starts when they play Shellbrook, Rosthern and Willow.

Yes dalmeny is winning but not like previous years they are on borrowed time and squeezing wins out because of team chem once these teams start getting their chem from new pick ups together it will be hard for dalmeny to compete it may not be this year but next year they will be bottom two no doubt in the west

Looking at their roster it looks like they have 5 new forwards with them this year, so they are still finding their chemistry. Loosing Adrian has been a big set back on their blue line though. Be interesting to see how that plays out for them.
