Anybody care to explain how Craik has Riley Kolesar as a local when he’s from Manitoba and lives in Saskatoon? My source says he lives in Craik but his old lady is in Stoon. Although I don’t think people move TO Craik. I’m with Harold this smells fishy. Kolesar was an import last season. I find it hard to believe he lives there now.

Craik? Cheating? Hard to believe.

Well well well Craik, caught cheating. Believe that Kolesar scored the 2nd and 3rd goal for them in Game 1 against FL. Cheat to get by FL -> if they do they get a date with Kenneston and will get smashed, oh and Kolesar will be INELIGIBLE and not be able to play that final series.

Craik would have to either replay the series or forfeit any games played with him. Problem is there were two series. Unless SHA absolved Craik of any wrongdoing and faults only the player.

You could be right, but I was under the impression any protests regarding ineligible players have to be before a series starts. That being said what an absolute crock of sh&t - the almighty Warriors should be ashamed; but if their only punishment is that he’s ineligible for the rest of Provs that’s not right.

You may be correct on the timing. However what if the information wasn’t available until after the series started? Frankly I don’t know the answer. If this is a legit situation of Craik cooking the books then I’m sure SHA will have a look at it.

Is he considered local because of time spent with the team?

Is he considered local because of time spent with the team? No, only has 2 years with them so far, including this year.

Knowing SHA my best guess is they say something along the lines of “well we can’t prove he doesn’t live there”, throw their hands up and do nothing.
Which then results in more teams doing this next year. But that’s typical SHA.

He should need proof of residency. A bill in his name at the address stated on the roster & dated back to September. I think FL could protest it after the series is played. I could be wrong though.

Well SHA does 'almost' next to nothing...He's ineligible, they CHEATED......Game 1 stands as a win for the CHEATERS (as well as the games in their previous series)... he can't play for the rest of Provincials. At least when Drake cheated with an ineligible player they made them re-play the game......!!?? Where's the consistency? In Drake's case it may have been an oversight, but in this case the Manager filled out the Provincial form and lied about his residency......

In this digital age, where most every player of note’s business is widely known, it doesn’t seem to happen anymore. But I guess if there is no real consequences it could happen all the time again.

And I would consider the Draude situation as quite different. Drake wasn’t trying to get away with anything.

Wonder how many more 'locals' are living on the manager's farm?
