It’s hard to find a good player this late any one that’s a goal scorer has been offered big bucks by now playing on a good team already. There’s still a chance to pick up a defence man that can help a team but not a goal scorer those guys are already making 500+ a game plus mileage and sticks and rooms and meals. 🙉🙉

Maybe not an absolute stud but there always a chance to find a player late. Guys quitting at different levels, finishing up school, etc. and if it’s a guy needed that money it won’t be a guy Oxbow will want anyways.

Hometown vet Currie deleted the cougars and picked up by the flyers. What’s goin on there That’s what happens when you bring in too many guys year after year. Your committed hometown locals get sick of it and go elsewhere.

Carlyle won 6-5 in a shootout. Redvers out shot them 67-33 Very tight game. Carlyle’s fans boo’d everytime rockets touched the puck in the shootout. Carlyle’s coach was very vocal, threw a couple sticks when Niven got kicked out after a fight with Magotiux. Carlyle looks strong now but not to long till they fall apart like every other year in the dressing room. I guess Carlyle’s team is what you get when you pay half your team. Rockets looking stronger than last year with their pick ups, will be a tight running with Carlyle Rockets and Rangers.

Yes, an exciting game before an estimated 350 or so. Period scores 2-1 Redvers after one and 3-3 after two. Shots on goal 20-12 after one, 44-23 after two, and a whopping 62-33 after regulation. Carlyle only had 5 D dressed and were fortunate as Meger outgoaltended Bauche in this one. Both teams had brutal giveaways at their own blue lines and snipers like Kopeck and Johnstone took full advantage. Rockets were missing Brady Gaudet due to suspension. Really exciting shootout after a great 5 minutes of 4 on 4 overtime, Kopeck, stoned, Johnstone, stoned, Kenton Miller, goalpost, Jonny Gaudet, beautiful backhand goal, Went down to Jordon Miller and the puck trickled off his stick. Cougars win a thriller. Kopeck was the best Rocket on this night and their vaunted power play was awesome. Fortunately for the Cougars, they didn't have many p.p. advantages.(scored on 2 out of 4) Best Cougars tonight were Benny Johnstone, Tayson Holt, and Jonny Gaudet. Carlyle needs at least one, and possible two, more stud defensemen to compete with Redvers and Moosomin, especially in a best of five series. They do have a good goaltender though and frankly Curtis Meger is likely the best tender in the Big Six right now. He just can't be facing 20 shots a period on a regular basis.

Carlyle won 6-5 in a shootout. Redvers out shot them 67-33 There were a lot of beer cans in that scorekeeper area, not sure how accurate the shots were.
