Grenfell only dressed 13 skaters cause that’s all the bodies they have! A third of their team was up in the top row of the stands out with injury! And Schick left the game in the 1st. I’ve never seen a team rack up serious injuries the way Grenfell does this time of year! Time for some tougher players maybe?

They got injured being farm hands on Hardy Farms. He works them too hard. Tough to be a championship team when you are working your “locals” to the bone.

Making it deep into playoffs and provincials can do that to a team. They have played 2 hard OT games against a heavy Lumsden team. Let’s not forget these guys have real jobs too, before you accuse any of being soft.

Gotta wonder how grenfell will be Sunday at 1. Saturday night league playoffs, then to Sunday, that’s a lot of hockey in an 18 hour span. And like the post above said, they were gassed by the end of tonight League game is postponed. Someone forgot to tell Lumsden as they are still planning on playing

Unlike Carlyle though who seem to be pretty healthy mostly due to the fact a lot of their local guys are either opening doors at the benches or healthy scratches.

I find it kinda funny where in a day and age of managers calling players with blank chèques, rumors of $1000’s of dollars going and game payrolls of $5-10k….that you choose to chirp the GM who instead calls young players, hooks them up with local employers with career type jobs, and convinces them to move to town. And has been doing this for over a decade. So chirp working at "hardy farms" all you want but he’s not the problem in Sr hockey, scumbags like Lumsden who play angles to try to catch spits on 3 and 3 or 4 and 4, those are the guys to chirp. Don’t rag on the guy who’s making the game better, chirp the scumbags who are jacking everything up. Just my 2 cents

Just my 2 cents The guys chirping Hardy for putting a hell of a team on the ice and putting butts in seats probably cant remember when their team last had a winning season or put more than 70 fans in the stands. Senior hockey is alive and well in Grenfell and their is one man to thank.

He has put together a team that has competed, even with all the injuries to key players without having to dish out thousands of dollars a game to Prov players. And flights I may add. I think Grenfell fans are loving there regular season team unlike the Town of Caryle which a lot are upset.

As as everyone at this point in the year.

Hope the cheerleaders sitting on the back bench or the stands are ok with it.
